In Loving Memory of

Valrie Brown

7 November 1962 – 29 December 2024

Valrie Mae Brown, affectionately known as Shalon to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at Public General Hospital in Port Maria after a brief terminal illness. Born on October 7, 1962, in the serene town of Tremolesworth High Gate, St. Mary, Shalon grew into a passionate, kind, and loving individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Shalon attended St. Mary High School, where she not only excelled academically but also cultivated lifelong friendships and a deep sense of community. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart were evident early on, and she carried these traits throughout her life.

After completing her education, Shalon embarked on a fulfilling career in catering supervision. Her dedication and expertise in her field were surpassed only by the genuine care she showed for those she worked with. Colleagues often remarked on her ability to transform any event into a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that everyone felt included and cared for.

Shalon's passion extended beyond her professional life to her involvement in various associations, where she was known for her enthusiastic participation and leadership. She had a gift for rallying people together for a common cause, and her positive influence will be remembered by many.

Shalon's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She was a beloved spouse to Micheal Lindsay, whose companionship and support were a source of great joy in her life. Shalon's unwavering affection for her mother, Daphne Brown, was a beacon of filial devotion. Her siblings, Evetth, Shermin, Sonia, Magnus, Derick, and Marvin, will cherish the memories of their sister's laughter, counsel, and companionship.

Shalon's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and a zest for life. She had a remarkable ability to see the best in people and to encourage them to pursue their passions. Her presence was a comfort, her words a source of wisdom, and her actions a reflection of her immense heart.

We say farewell to Shalon, knowing that her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she shared will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the beauty of kindness, the strength of passion, and the enduring power of love.

In accordance with her wishes, Shalon's family will gather for a private ceremony to honor her memory and celebrate the remarkable life she led. We honor Shalon's journey through this world and take solace in the knowledge that her light will continue to shine in the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will forever be a part of us.
