Valrie Mae Brown, affectionately known as Shalon to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at Public General Hospital in Port Maria after a brief terminal illness. Born on October 7, 1962, in the serene town of Tremolesworth High Gate, St. Mary, Shalon grew into a passionate, kind, and loving individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Shalon attended St. Mary High School, where she not only excelled academically but also cultivated lifelong friendships and a deep sense of community. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart were evident early on, and she carried these traits throughout her life.

After completing her education, Shalon embarked on a fulfilling career in catering supervision. Her dedication and expertise in her field were surpassed only by the genuine care she showed for those she worked with. Colleagues often remarked on her ability to transform any event into a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that everyone felt included and cared for.
