In Loving Memory of

Dotlin Williams

16 September 1953 – 27 December 2024

Ms. Dotlin May Williams, affectionately known by her loved ones as Yvette, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at her residence in Tree Hills, Port Maria P.O, St Mary. Born on September 16, 1953, in St Catherine, Riversdale, Yvette was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. She was 71 years old.

Yvette was a woman of the earth, spending her days working as a dedicated farmer, a career that allowed her to nurture the land and feed the community she held so dear. Her love for the medical field was an enduring interest, and although she did not pursue it professionally, she was knowledgeable and passionate about advancements and breakthroughs, often engaging in thoughtful discussions with friends and family.

Her education, which began and concluded at the secondary school level, was a testament to her belief in the power of lifelong learning. Yvette never stopped educating herself, taking lessons from the world around her, and applying her wisdom generously in her day-to-day life.

Family was the cornerstone of Yvette's world. She is survived by her loving sisters, Mabelyn Williams and Dawn Johnson, as well as her brothers, Dudley and Cecil Johnson. Together, they shared countless memories filled with laughter, support, and unwavering love. Yvette's presence as a sister was a grounding force, and she will be profoundly missed by her siblings.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Yvette were touched by her kind spirit, her humorous outlook on life, and her thoughtful nature. She had a unique ability to make everyone she met feel important and heard, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. Her laughter was infectious, and her counsel sought after, for she always had a way of seeing the brighter side of life, even during challenging times.

Yvette's interests extended beyond her work and the medical field, as she cherished spending time with family and friends. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a lively gathering, Yvette was the heart of every occasion. Her presence could light up a room, and her absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.

After courageously battling breast cancer, Yvette's journey on this earth came to a close. Her resilience and grace during her illness were a true reflection of her character, inspiring those around her with her strength and dignity.

As we bid farewell to Ms. Dotlin May Williams, we celebrate her life, her contributions, and the unforgettable moments she gifted us. Yvette's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and kindness, a tapestry that will be cherished and remembered by all who had the honor of being a part of her story.

Yvette's memory will be honored in a private ceremony, where her family and close friends will gather to reflect on a life well-lived and a soul that brought so much joy to this world. Her spirit will forever remain with us, guiding and comforting, as we hold her close in our memories.
