In Loving Memory of
Winnifred Walters
11 July 1927 – 17 January 2025
Winniefred Walters, affectionately known as Aunt Winnie or Fred, transitioned peacefully to heaven on January 17, 2025. Born July 11, 1927, in the lush Roadside Community of Islington, St. Mary, Winniefred's life was a tapestry of love, commitment, and enduring strength.
Her generosity knew no bounds, and her spirited nature was a source of comfort and inspiration to many. She lived with purpose and joy. Her boundless energy and passion for life were evident in her love for her family and community.
As the matriarch of her family, Fred was the embodiment of love, generosity, and resilience. She raised her children with an unwavering dedication that later extended to her twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent in their company, instilling values and sharing in both the joys and challenges of life. She was actively engaged in the lives of her children and grandchildren, she guided them through her nurturing spirit. Her home was a place where life lessons were imparted, and bonds were strengthened.

Fred went to be with the Lord at the age of 97, leaving behind a legacy of love and a life well-lived. As we bid farewell to Aunt Winnie, we celebrate her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left on us. She is preceded in death by her husband (Benjamin), her son (Errol), and her daughters (Carol and Monica). She is survived by her brother (Donovan) and three children( Marvin, Leacroft, and Jasmin). She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and community friends. Winniefred's life and presence was a gift. Her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched, to carry forward the warmth and kindness she so freely gave.
In honor of her life, Winniefred's family will gather in a private ceremony to share stories, laughter, and tears, remembering a remarkable woman whose life was a beacon of love and generosity. Aunt Winnie's story does not end here, for she is with Christ and lives in the hearts of those she loved. Forever in our hearts, may she rest in eternal peace.
