Mr. Egbert George Irons, known affectionately as Birty to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully of natural causes on the 7th of September, 2024, in Trinity Port Maria, St. Mary. Born on May 4th, 1949, in Woodside, St. Mary, Birty lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and community spirit.

Birty grew up in the lush surroundings of Woodside, where he attended primary school and developed a strong foundation that would support his many talents. As a young man, he learned the trades of carpentry and masonry, skills that would not only become his livelihood but also a way for him to contribute to the growth and development of his hometown.
